Montclair, NJ: The Montclair State University women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College tonight 21-4 at Sprague Field. The Red Hawks remain undefeated in NJAC conference play with a 4-0 record and improve to 8-4 overall. The Roadrunners drop to 4-6 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Ramapo scored two goals in the first half and two goals in the second half.
Alyssa Tachon led the team with two goals and one assist while
Beth McGraw and
Colleen Manley each scored a goal of their own in the game.
Lindsay Hughes added an assit for the Roadrunners.
The Red Hawks led by three goals before Tachon scored her first goal of the game and 26th of the season unassisted with 23:13 on the clock. MSU scored four straight goals before McGraw scored her 17th goal of the season off a pass from Tachon. The Red Hawks held a 14-2 at halftime.
The Roadrunners scored back-to-back goals to start the second half. Manley scored her sixth goal of the year while Tachon added her 27th. The Red Hawks scored seven more goals in the game for the 21-4 win.
The Roadrunners return to action on April 16th when they travel to Sage College for a non-conference game at 5:00pm.
