Jersey City, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team posted two Skyline victories today over Sarah Lawrence, 3-0 (25-5, 25-11, 25-12) and NJCU, 3-0 (25-21, 27-25, 25-22). With the two victories the Roadrunners improve to 13-12 overall and 8-1 in the conference.
Against Sarah Lawrence, Ramapo never trailed and hit .362 as a team in sweeping the Gryphons. The Roadrunners served 16 aces and
Alec Weissman collected 22 assists and three aces.
Garrett Fitzsimmons hit .667 with five kills and
Petko Ljusic added a .571 attack with five kills and two aces. Rookie
Justin Feigeles added four kills and hit .500 in the win. SLC hit -.278 in the loss.
In the team's win over NJCU, Ramapo hit a combined .191, led by Weissman with 35 assists.
Marinus Tavernier led the Roadrunners' offensive game hitting .375 with nine kills and four blocks, while Feigeles collected 17 kills in the win.
Peter Desvousges finished with three aces.
Kurt MacDonald led the team's defense with eight digs.
Ramapo returns to action when they travel to Purchase College for a tri-match-up with Sage at noon and Purchase at 2pm.
