Auburndale, FL: The Ramapo College baseball team posted a 6-3 win over Wheaton College (IL) today at the RussMatt Baseball Invitational. The Roadrunners improve to 3-0 overall while Wheaton falls to 4-7.
Walker Larson fired a complete game for Ramapo, improving to 2-0 on the year. He struck out nine walked two and scattered nine hits. The Roadrunners took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Rafael Dela Cruz, who singled to lead off the inning.
Chris Werr then drove home
Brandon Berger with a single to center. In the second inning,
Kevin Kelly drove a pitch over the leftfield wall to his first home run of the season to extend the lead, 3-0.
In the fifth inning, Wheaton scored one run on three hits, 1-3 before Ramapo added one run in the seventh inning. Berger drove home Dela Cruz with a single to right field, 4-1. In the bottom half of the seventh, Wheaton scored their second run of the game with a sacrifice fly, to come within two, 2-4. Ramapo added one insurance run in the eighth and ninth innings respectively. Wheaton added a run in the bottom half of the eight inning before Walker closed the door in the ninth with a strikeout to end the game.
Kelly and
Scott Paulus each collected two hits apiece for the Roadrunners while Dela Cruz and Berger scored two runs each.
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow afternoon when they take on Springfield College in a doubleheader at 2:00pm.
