MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS AT GOLDEN FLYER INVITE

Rochester, NY:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team dropped a tough, 0-3 (19-25, 21-25, 14-25) to the #8 ranked Nazareth College today in their third match-up at the Golden Flyer Invite at Nazareth College.  In their second match-up of the day against the #7 ranked UC Santa Cruz, Ramapo fell 0-3 (20-25, 11-25, 16-25). The Roadrunners now stand at 3-5 overall.
 
Against Nazareth, Connor Brandow led the Roadrunners with seven kills while Marinus Tavernier added six to the mix.  The team hit a combined .026 with 28 kills on 77 attempts with 26 errors, while Justin Feigeles dished-out a team high 22 assists.  Feigeles and defensive specialist Kurt MacDonald each picked up six digs in the loss.   Tim Zyburt led Nazareth with 11 kills and the team hit a combined 26-60 with 13 errors hitting .217 in the win.  Nick McDonagh led the team with 15 assists and Zyburt led the defense with six digs.
 
In their second match-up against UC Santa Cruz, Spencer Shickora and Tavernier led the team with six kills a piece while Shickora added two blocks including one solo block. Garrett Fitzsimmons and Brandow each added five kills of their own while MacDonald led the team with five digs. Feigeles posted a team high 23 assists while he added one kill and one solo block. The team hit a combined 25-75 with 17 errors to his .107 in the match. For Santa Cruz, Jack Howard led the team with 14 kills on 20 attempts and one error to hit .650; he also tallied seven kills. Jake Landel added 13 kills. The team posted 39 kills on 72 attempts with eight errors to hit .431 in the match.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on February 11th when they travel to New Paltz for a 7pm match-up.
