#10 BARUCH GETS RAMAPO IN FIVE

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team dropped a tough 2-3 (21-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20, 11-15) decision tonight to the #10 ranked Bearcats of Baruch College at the Bradley Center.  With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 2-2 overall on the year, while Baruch gets their second win of the season to improve to 2-1.
 
The Roadrunners fell behind two sets (21-25, 20-25) to none before taking the third set, 25-19 with a .286 hitting performance with ten kills and just two errors.  Ramapo took the fourth set, 25-20 to tie the match at 2-2.  In the fourth set, Ramapo hit a match high .412 with 18 kills on 34 attempts and four errors.  The Bearcats fought back to take the final set, 15-11 to take the match in five, 3-2, in Mahwah.
 
Connor Brandow led the Roadrunners with 18 kills, while Spencer Shickora collected 17 kills of his own.  Garrett Fitzsimmons and Marinus Tavernier each put away nine kills in the loss as the team combined for 61 kills on 165 attempts with 27 errors hitting .206 overall.  Justin Feigeles dished out 47 assists and Kurt MacDonald picked up a team leading 19 digs.  Feigeles picked up 11 digs and Shickora tallied ten of his own.  As a team Ramapo recorded five total blocks.
 
Chris Kaimis led Baruch's offensive game collecting 18 kills while Nick Smith added 16 of his own.  The team hit a combined .214 with 55 kills on 154 attempts with 22 errors.  Scott Standring dished out 43 assists and picked up a team leading 16 digs.  Brendan Murphy added 11 digs and Brady Ambro collected ten digs of his own.  The Bearcats had three total blocks on the night.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Friday and Saturday when they travel to the Nazareth Tournament to face off with Hilbert, Elmira, Nazareth, and University of California Santa Cruz over the weekend.
