Camden, NJ: The Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers Camden proved to be too much for the Ramapo College women's basketball team as they dropped Ramapo, 57-43 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match-up on the road. With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 4-20 overall, 0-17 in the conference. Rutgers Camden improves to 9-15 overall and 5-12 in the conference.
Jina Crawford led the Roadrunners with 12 points hitting 6-11 from the field, while
Kellie Lane and
Grace Elliott each netted ten points of their own. The Roadrunners combined hitting 19-52 (37%) from the field.
Bintou Berete and Elliott each pulled down a team leading seven rebounds and
Kerrie Kosakowski dished out three assists in the loss.
Rutgers Camden out rebounded the Roadrunners 55-29 as Irene Grimanis grabbed a team high 17. Kamari Tallley led the Scarlet Raptors with 18 points and rounded out a double-double with 13 boards. Tanjae Lewis and Alex Gravinese each collected 11 points as the team hit a combined 25-74 (34%) in the win. Cara Racobaldo dished out seven assists and Gravinese grabbed four steals on the day.
The Roadrunners play their final game of the season on Wednesday, February 18th when they travel to Rutgers Newark for a 6pm tip.
