Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's basketball team fell at home against Kean University 56-44. The Roadrunners fall to 2-5 overall, 1-1 in the NJAC while the Cougars improve to 4-2 overall, 2-2 in the conference.
Kean held Ramapo to seven points in the first quarter before the Roadrunners came back and scored 13 points in the second quarter to shrink the Cougar lead by five heading into the locker room at halftime, 25-20. Kean led 12-7 heading into the second quarter before Ramapo came within two 14-16 on a pair of made free throws from 
Grace Elliott with five minutes to play in the quarter. Kean then went on a mini 6-0 run, extending their lead to nine with 3:14 on the clock. Ramapo cut the lead to three with back to back made baskets from Elliott and Alyson Oostydk 20-23 before Kean scored the last bucket of the first half by Miesha Brown 25-20. The Roadrunners shots 29% (8-27) in the half from the field and 75% (3-4) from the charity stripe. 
In the third quarter, Kean continued to lead and took their biggest lead with 35 seconds left in the quarter 42-32 on a made basket by Marajiah Bacon. Diana Todaro put the Cougars up 12 on the first basket of the fourth quarter off an assist from Danielle Oakley. Ramapo went on a 6-0 run as 
Alexandra Seedes sunk a three-pointer off an assist from 
Bridgette Buckalew with just under eight minutes to play in the game while a foul shot from Elliott shrunk the Cougar lead to six 38-44 with just under seven minutes to play. A three-pointer from Bacon extended the lead back to nine for Kean while they never led the Roadrunners come within more then five in the final five minutes of the game. 
Kean had three players score in double figures in the game while Bacon leading the way with 20 points, four rebounds and three assists. Jaquetta Owens added 14 points and Miesha Bacon tallied ten points and four steals. Ruby Asabor collected a team high 11 rebounds while she tallied six points. The team shot 36% (19-52) from the field, 27% (5-18) from the three-point line and 68% (13-19) from the charity stripe. 
The Roadrunners were led by Lane who recorded a double-double, 17 points and 11 rebounds while Seedes added nine points on three made three-pointers. Elliott collected five rebounds and seven points and 
Bintou Berete tallied eight rebounds of her own.  Ramapo forced 16 Kean turnovers while the Roadrunners out rebounded the Cougars 44-39 in the game. Ramapo shot 27% (17-61) from the field, 18% (4-22) from beyond the three-point line and 66% (6-9) from the charity stripe. 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, December 5th when they host Montclair State University at 1pm.
