Manhattan, NY: The Ramapo College women's basketball team defeated John Jay College 78-36 in a non-conference game on the road. The Roadrunners improve to 2-4 overall while the Bloodhounds fall to 1-3 overall.
The Roadrunners held the Bloodhounds to 36 points in the game while they forced 14 John Jay turnovers. Ramapo was led by
Kellie Lane and
Alexandra Seedes who each scored 16 points while Lane grabbed five rebounds. Seedes was 4-9 from the three-point line in the game while teammate
Doris Ilic was 4-8 from the three-point line as she scored 15 points and dished out five assists.
Alyson Oostdyk grabbed a team high nine rebounds and tallied five assists while
Grace Elliott recorded seven points, five rebounds and a team high three blocks in the game. The team shot 49% (27-55) from the field, 42% (8-19) from the three-point line and 61% (16-26) from the charity stripe. Ramapo also out rebounded the Bloodhounds 48-30 in the game.
John Jay was led by Cassandra Chery with seven points while Victoria Royal posted a team high ten rebounds. The team shot 25% (14-56) from the field, 21% (3-14) from the three-point line and 50% (5-10) from the charity stripe.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, December 2nd at 5:30pm when they host NJAC rival Kean University.
