Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

#4 RAMAPO TOPS #5 ROWAN 3-0, ADVANCES TO NJAC SEMIFINAL

Mahwah, NJ:  The #4 Ramapo College women's volleyball team advanced in the NJAC Tournament with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-17, 25-13) victory over #5 Rowan University. The Roadrunners improve to 19-7 overall while the Profs wrap up the season with at 11-22 overall.  
 
The Roadrunners advance to their 6th NJAC semifinal under head coach Rob Pichardo and will face #1 Stockton University on Thursday, November 5th at 7pm in Galloway, NJ. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults; $2.00 for children, students, and senior citizens.
 
Ramapo dominated the match hitting .333 as a team with 39 kills on 87 attempts and only 10 errors. The Roadrunners also tallied six aces and 47 digs as a team. Sophomore Larysa Iwaskiw led both teams with 14 kills while she collected ten digs and one ace. Junior Rachel Selmore posted a .500 hitting percentage with 13 kills on 24 attempts with only one error. Selmore also collected two assisted blocks and one dig. Junior Emily Guzman, who hit .300, added nine kills, one assist and two digs. Senior captain Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out a match-high 31 assists along with nine digs and one ace. Junior Natalia Saavedra collected ten digs on defense for the Roadrunners while sophomore Sarah Mulligan added eight of her own. Mulligan led the team with four aces while senior captain Emily Harris added three assists and a perfect passing percentage.
 
Rowan tallied 24 total kills as a team, and was led by Danielle Havlicek with nine kills while Dalton Sanchez added five of her own. Mary-Grace Testa dished out a team high 11 assists while Rebecca Dantonio added nine of her own. Erica O'Hagan recorded a team high 12 digs while Testa added seven during the match.
