Glassboro, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team fell to the Profs of Rowan University, 64-198 today on the road to fall to 3-2 overall on the year and 0-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Jesse Smith led the Roadrunners today with a 1st place finish in the 200-yard butterfly race. He clocked in at 2:01.09 for nine Ramapo points.
Aspen-Jade Tucker placed 2nd overall in the 200-yard freestyle race as he touched the poolside in 1:48.78, while
Jose Alferez earned 2nd place in the 100-yard backstroke. Alferez clocked in at 55.56 seconds and
Matt Stenger placed 3rd in the same event in 56.58 seconds, the two combining for seven points for the team.
RJ Carillo touched the poolside in 3rd place in the 100-yard breaststroke clocking in at 1:02.03 for three points and Alferez earned another four points for Ramapo in the 200-yard backstroke placing 2nd overall in 2:01.22. Carillo swam the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:18.07 for 2nd place overall and Alferez placed 3rd in the 100-yard butterfly in 54.69 seconds.
Ramapo's 200-yard freestyle relay took home 3rd place.
Andrew Ramos,
Peter Kellner, Stenger, and
Charlie May combined efforts to touch the poolside in 1:32.17 rounding out the top performances of the day.
The Roadrunners head to the Franklin and Marshall Invitational when they return to action on November 20th-22nd.
