New Paltz, NY: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated New Paltz today 152.5-109.5. The Roadrunners remain undefeated with a 3-0 overall record while the Hawks drop to 1-1 overall.

Ramapo won ten events in the non-conference meet. The 400-yard medley relay team made up of
Jose Alferez,
RJ Carillo,
Jesse Smith and
Andrew Ramos placed first overall in 3:40.86. In the 1,000-yard freestyle,
Chaz Cella finished in second place (10:50.54) while
Brian Henningsen placed third overall with a time of 11:02.52.
Aspen-Jade Tucker (1:50.11) and
Peter Kellner (1:53.79) finished 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle while
Jose Alferez captured a first place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.71.
Matt Stenger finished in second place in the same even with a time of 58.51. Carillo placed first in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:01.90 while Ramapo captured the top three spots in the 200-yard butterfly. Smith placed first (2:03.27) while
Daniel Drozdzewicz finished in second (2:11.55) and
Kyle Jackson (2:14.67) placed third overall. Tucker also captured a first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (50.26) while Alferez placed first overall in the 200-yard backstroke. Carillo added another first place finish to his day in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:19.89. Smith and
Gene Pozniakov went 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly with times of 55.28 and 57.71 respectively. Smith also won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:05.61

The Roadrunners return to action on November 7th when they travel to NJAC rival the College of New Jersey at 1pm.
