Mahwah, NJ: The Kean University women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College today at the Athletic Center 2-0. The Cougars improve to 10-6-2 overall, 5-2-2 in the NJAC and a seed in the upcoming NJAC Women's Soccer Tournament.
The Roadrunners now stand at 9-6-1 overall, 3-5-1 in the conference and wait on word of a possible ECAC Women's Soccer Tournament bid, which is announced November 9th.
The Cougars got all the scoring they would need in the seventh minute of action (6:25) when Kaitlyn Pallitto scored her team leading 13th goal of the season. Jordan Thurman added an insurance goal for Kean off a pass from Sabrina Pascarella in the 40th minute (39:38).
Kean outshot Ramapo 17-12 including 12-8 in shots on goal while the Roadrunners held a slight advantage in corner kicks in the game 6-5. KC Nunez tallied eight saves for the Cougars while Ramapo's
Jessica Cusick stopped nine during the game.
