Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated NJAC rival Rutgers-Newark University tonight at the Bradley Center 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-20). The Roadrunners improve to 14-6 overall, 4-2 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raiders stand at 10-10 overall, 1-5 in the NJAC.
Larysa Iwaskiw led Ramapo with 18 kills while
Judy Errichetti hit .417 in the match with seven kills on 12 attempts and only two errors. Iwaskiw also tallied 11 digs.
Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out a team high 17 assists and
Nicole Herrmann added 11 of her own while
Emily Harris led the team on defense with 17 digs.
Emily Guzman recorded a team high two aces along with three kills, two digs and two blocks. Ramapo hit .174 in the match with 36 total kills on 109 attempts and 17 errors.
The Scarlet Raiders were led by Sharee Gordon with eight kills and four total blocks. Jess Moy and Andrea Antal each collected five kills while Cassie Luken added four kills. Sue Riley led the team on defense with 11 digs and a perfect passing percentage with 30 attempts. Luken added a team high three aces while Bryanna Urbaez dished out a team high 18 assists. Rutgers-Newark hit .018 in the match with 26 total kills on 111 attempts and 24 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on October 20th when they host NJAC rival Rutgers-Camden University at the Bradley Center at 7pm.
