Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team defeated Lehman College 2-1 in a non-conference game today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 6-6-2 overall while the Lightning fall to 7-6.

Justin Olaya put the Roadrunners on the board in the first half with his sixth goal of the season of a pass from
Jorge Castro in the sixth minute of the game (5:51). Following a foul in the box, Lehman was awarded a penalty kick (29:49), as Brandon Ruiz was able to convert to tie the game 1-1, with his sixth goal of the year. The score remained tied heading into halftime. Ramapo held a 12-3 advantage in shots in the first half.

In the second half the Roadrunners were fouled allowing
Jorge Castro to take a free kick in the 52nd minute (51:22). Castro sent the ball into the box and
Rob Shalikar flicked it past the Lehman goalkeeper for the eventual game-winning goal. This was Shalikar's first goal of the season to put the Roadrunners in the lead 2-1.

Ramapo posted 21 shots, ten on goal to Lehman's six shots and three on goal. The Roadrunners also held a 6-0 advantage in corners in the game.
Ryan Sprague made two saves in the game for Ramapo while Jesus Marin recorded eight for the Lightning.

The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 14th when they travel to NJAC rival New Jersey City University for a game at 3pm.
