Gwynedd Valley, PA:  The Ramapo College women's basketball team dropped a tough non-conference match-up to Bridgewater State, 60-67 today in their final match-up of the Gwynedd Mercy Holiday Tournament.  With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 4-7 overall on the year.  Bridgewater improves to 6-5. 
Chanelle Melton led Bridgewater with 20 points and Vanesa Conceicao chipped in 15, while Rachel Kusz added 12 points of her own in the win.  The team combined hitting 22-62 (36%) from the field as Conceicao dished out a team-high six assists. 
The Roadrunners opened the game to a 6-0 lead, and led by six again (18-12) with 10:20 to play in the first half, before Bridgewater strung together 11 points to take over the lead for good, after a three-pointer from Stephanie DeSantis put the team up, 23-18 with 6:35 to play.  Bridgewater led by as many as 17 and wrapped up the first half with a 14-point (39-25) lead over the Roadrunners.  Bridgewater shot 12-32 (38%) in the half and were led by Kusz with ten points.  She shot 4-6 from the field.  Ramapo's 
Kerrie Kosakowski led the Roadrunners with eight first half points as the team shot a combined 8-24 (33%).  
Ramapo spent the first 11-plus minutes in the second half overcoming a double-digit deficit, which they did at 8:40 with a layup from 
Kellie Lane to close the gap, 47-55.  The Roadrunners would come within three points (60-63) with a basket from Kosakowski with just 46 seconds to play, but it wasn't enough as Bridgewater closed out the game with four good baskets from the charity stripe, taking the non-conference match-up, 67-60.  Melton led Bridgewater in the final half of play hitting 4-8 from the field, and a perfect 3-3 from the free throw line for 11 points, while the team hit a combined 10-30 (33%).  Ramapo went 11-28 (39%) and was led by Lane with 13 points.  
Doris Ilic added 11 in the half. 
Lane led all Roadrunners with 13 points and was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.  Kosakowski finished the day with 12 points and Ilic added 11.  The Roadrunners hit a combined 19-52 (37%) in the loss. 
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, January 7th when they travel to TCNJ for a 6pm tip-off.
