Hoboken, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team suffered their first loss of the season today to the #2 ranked Ducks of the Stevens Institute of Technology. Stevens improved to 3-0 overall on the year as they swept the Roadrunners 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-21). Ramapo falls to 2-1 overall.
Ramapo struggled offensively in the match posting just 20 kills as a team, hitting -.063.
Marinus Tavernier led the Roadrunners with five kills while
Justin Feigeles,
Connor Brandow, and
Nick Amos each added three kills in the loss. Feigeles dished out a team high 14 assists and led the team defensively with eight digs.
Stevens was led by Tim Ferriter with six kills and Gabe Shankweiler added five, as the team hit a combined 27-75 with 18 errors (.120). John Eddins dished out 20 of the team's 24 assists and Ferriter and Eddins each collected a team leading six digs.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, February 3rd when they host Baruch College at 7pm at the Bradley Center
