Gwynedd Valley, PA: The Ramapo College women's basketball team fell to Trinity College (CT), 58-54, today at the Gwynedd Mercy Holiday Tournament. The Roadrunners fall to 4-6 overall while Trinity now stands at 3-5 overall.
Kellie Lane led the team with 11 points, three assists and three steals while
Grace Elliott added nine points and
Dejha Flood tallied eight points and four assists.
Kerrie Kosakowski led the team with six rebounds and she added seven points. The Roadrunners shot 39% (19-48) from the field, 62% (15-24) from the foul line and 25% (1-4) from beyond the three-point line. Ramapo out rebounded Trinity 38-28 and forced 13 turnovers.
Trinity was led by Mackenzie Griffin, who scored a game high 26 points, two assists and three steals. Christina Ralti added 11 points and led the team with six assists. Melanie Mills posted nine points while Griffin led the team with seven rebounds. Trinity shot 46% (21-45) from the field, 37% (3-8) from beyond the three-point line and 50% (13-26) from the foul line.
The Roadrunners will return to action tomorrow at noon when they take on Bridgewater State University in the consolation game.
