Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team defeated Hunter College in a non-conference match, 9-0. The Roadrunners improve to 2-1 overall while the Hawks (0-1) drop their first match of the season.
Ramapo swept doubles action, 8-0 in all three matches.
Carly Agrifolio and
Vasundhra Gandotra won at first doubles.
Sara Luby and
Elena Maria Ilieva earned the win at second doubles while
Katrina Biss and Ivy Shuckman won at third doubles.
Their winning ways continued into singles play as all six Roadrunners earned a win. Agrifolio posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles while Gandotra's winning score at second singles was, 6-0 and 6-1. Luby picked up the win at third singles, 6-0, 6-2 while Biss won at fourth singles, 6-0, 6-1. At fifth and sixth singles, Demchak and Ilieva each won, 6-0 and 6-0 respectively.
The Roadrunners return to action on Monday, September 8th when they host rival William Paterson University at 4pm.
