Mahwah, NJ:  In a non-conference field hockey match-up, the Ramapo College Roadrunners posted a 2-0 shut out over the Giants of Keystone College today at the Athletic Center.  With the victory the Roadrunners improve to 2-10 overall.  Keystone falls to 2-8.

Ramapo got on the scoreboard in the 33rd minute, when a goal from rookie Gianna Mouskourie, off a dish from Dana Shea, gave the Roadrunners a 1-0 advantage.  Under two minutes later, Christina Bacino put Ramapo up, 2-0 off an assist from Nicole Healy.  Mouskourie's goal was her eighth of the season, while Bacino collected her second of the season.

Ramapo's lead would hold until the half time buzzer where Ramapo held at 13-5 advantage in shots. Emily Wisneski made four saves in the cage for Ramapo, while Emily Hawkins blocked six for the Giants.

In the second half, the two teams played 35 minutes of scoreless hockey, leaving Ramapo with the 2-0 shut out win.  Keystone held a 6-1 edge in shots in the second half of play, while Wisneski made four additional saves.  Hawkins blocked one shot for Keystone.  For the game, Ramapo held a 10-5 edge in corners.

The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, October 7th when they host Kean at 4pm in a NJAC match-up.
