Newburgh, NY:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team improved to 4-1 overall tonight with a road win over Mount Saint Mary College.

Rookie Larysa Iwaskiw led the team with nine kills, one ace and 16 digs while junior Cathryn Smart tallied five kills on 12 attempts to hit .333 in the match. Sophomore Emily Guzman hit .300 in the match with four kills while she posted three blocks and two aces. Senior Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out a team high 20 assists. She also recorded four aces and one block. Rookie Amanda Rose recorded five aces and two kills in the match while sophomore Rachel Selmore added three kills and one block.

For the Knights, Kayla Kurka led the team with six kills while Natalie Candarelli added five kills of her own and one block. Claire Scully dished out a team high 21 assists and Chelsea Barberan recorded 19 digs.

Ramapo returns to action this weekend at the Vassar College Invitational. The Roadrunners take on Mount Saint Vincent on September 5th at 4pm and New Paltz at 6pm.
