Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

RAMAPO BLANKS DEVILS, 3-0

Madison, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's soccer team defeated FDU-Florham tonight on the road, 3-0. The Roadrunners improve to 3-0 overall while the Devils even their record at 1-1 overall.

Three different Roadrunners scored in the game. With the scored tied at 0-0 heading into the second half, rookie Justin Olaya scored the eventual game winning goal just 27 seconds into the half. Senior Dan Boffa would extend the Ramapo lead as he took a pass from Andrew Kirshteyn and hit the back of the net in the 55th minute to take a 2-0 lead. Ramapo would get another insurance goal from rookie Modou Sowe in the 64th minute of the game off a pass from Olaya, 3-0.

Junior Matthew Hernandez made four saves in the shutout win. Ramapo held a 16-14 advantage in shots in the game while the Devils held an 8-6 edge in corner kicks.

Ramapo returns to action at the Berry Invitational in Rome, Georgia this weekend. The Roadrunners will play host Berry College on Saturday, September 6th at 2pm before playing Emory University at 12pm on Sunday, September 7th.
