Jersey City, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team earned a New Jersey Athletic Conference sweep tonight over the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University, 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-14). The Roadrunners improve to 12-4 overall, and get their first win in conference play at 1-0. NJCU falls to 0-10.
Larysa Iwaskis put away 15 kills and hit .324 on the night leading the Roadrunners to their third consecutive win. The team combined for 34 kills with 15 errors on 88 attempts, hitting .216 in the sweep.
Emily Guzman collected eight kills and
Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out a team leading 19 assists. Nicole Hermann added 11 assists in the win.
Ramapo's defense was led by Iwaskiw with 12 digs, and
Emily Harris picked up seven of her own. The Roadrunners collected eight team blocks, while
Katelyn Ward led the team with six total blocks, two solo.
The Roadrunners return to action on Thursday, September 25th when they host NJAC rival William Paterson at 7pm at the Bradley Center.
