FIELD HOCKEY FALLS AT VASSAR

Poughkeepsie, NY:  The Ramapo College field hockey team fell to Vassar College in a non-conference game, 2-0.

Vassar (7-1) scored in the first half of the game to take a, 1-0, lead. Bianca Zarrella scored her first goal of the season off a pass from Enya Cunnigham, following a penalty corner after time expired in the half.

Cunningham assisted on Vassar's second goal of the game as Hayley Beach tallied her fourth goal of the season off a penalty corner, 2-0.

Vassar held a 27-3 advantage in shots in the game and a 14-2 edge in penalty corners.

Emily Wisneski tallied 17 saves for the Roadrunners while Amreen Bhasin did not have to make a save for Vassar in the shutout win.

The Roadrunners return to action on September 23rd when they travel to Marywood University for a non-conference game starting at 4pm.
