#6 TCNJ DEFEATS RAMAPO, 7-0

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College field hockey team fell to #6 ranked The College of New Jersey today in a conference match-up at the Athletic Center, 7-0.  The Roadrunners now stand at 1-6 overall, 0-1 in the NJAC while the Lions improve to 6-0 overall, 1-0 in the NJAC.
 
The Lions took an early lead with a goal from Erin Healy assisted by Lindsey Hatch just under five minutes into play.  In the 22nd minute, Jaclyn Douglas scored the team's second goal of the half off a pass from Hatch.  Hatch recorded a hat-trick in the game for the Lions.  In the first half she had back-to-back goals (27:08 & 31:50) to close out the half, 4-0.  She recorded her third goal, the final goal of the game in the second half in the 59th minute of play.
 
In the second half, Douglas, Lauren O'Keefe, and Hatch picked up goals (43:15, 46:43, & 59:24) extending their lead to 7-0. The Lions held 30-1 advantage in shots and a 20-2 margin of penalty corners in the game.
 
Amanda Krause posted one save in 23:27 minutes in the net for the Lions. 
 
For the Roadrunners, Emma Kramer picked up four saves in the first 35 minutes of play and Emily Wisneski picked up seven saves in the second half.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Thursday, September 18 at 4:00pm when they host Desales University.
