Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team dominated a, 7-0, win this afternoon over visiting Lehman College. The Roadrunners improve to 4-2-1 overall while the Lightning stand at 0-5 overall.
Ramapo tallied two goals in the first half.
Andrew Kirshteyn scored the eventual game winning goal off a pass from
James Merges in the sixth minute of the game before
Brandon Baxter scored his first goal of the season to make it 2-0 (40:36) off a pass from
Lucas Tasci.
In the second half Tasci added a goal of his own just 43 seconds into the half and
Santiago Garzon assisted on the goal. Kirshteyn scored his second goal of the game in the 53rd minute off a pass from
Dan Boffa to make it, 4-0. Tasci recorded his second assisted when he fed a pass to
Kevin Monaghan who hit the back of the net in the 58th minute.
Modou Sowe recorded the final two goals in the game for the Roadrunners, he scored an unassisted goal in the 83rd minute and a goal in the 86th minute, his team leading fifth goal of the season, for the 7-0 score.
Ramapo dominated the game recording 32 shots to Lehman's three while each team tallied two corner kicks.
Brady O'Connor earned the shutout for the Roadrunners with two saves in the game. Jesus Marin posted eight saves in the game for Lehman.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 20th when they host NJAC rival Richard Stockton College at 1pm.
