Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team earned their first win of the 2014 season with an, 11-0, win over Medgar Evers College in a non-conference game.
Nine different Roadrunners scored in the game while rookie
Taylor Marcialis did not have to make a save in her first collegiate shutout of her career.
The first half saw the Roadrunners take a quick, 2-0, lead in the first ten minutes of play.
Gabriella DiLiberto scored an unassisted goal just 2:50 into the game before
Nani Vizcaino tallied the game's second goal 9:12 into the game off a pass from DiLiberto.
Nicole Ninomiya,
Kelsey Sutherland, Vizcaino and
Jessica Cusick all added goals in the first half to take a, 6-0 lead into halftime.
Amber Hermanns assisted on two goals in the first half. Ramapo posted 22 shots while Medgar Evers did not get a shot off.
In the second half, Ramapo added five goals.
Alexus Fuentes,
Karina Borda, Cusick,
Brooke Miller and
Lauren Laskowski all tallied goals in the half.
Rebecca Hager recorded two assists.
Megar Evers, who started the game with seven field players and their goalie, had two players that were not able to continue and the game was called in the 74th minute.
Ramapo posted 31 total shots in the game, 16 on goal. For the Cougars, Marlene Thompson posted five saves in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 13th, when they travel to Old Westbury for a 12pm non-conference game.
