Glassboro, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team fell to NJAC rival Rowan University on the road in overtime, 2-1. The Roadrunners now stand at 6-5-2 overall, 0-3-1 in the NJAC while the Profs improve to 8-4 overall, 2-1 in the conference.
Rowan got on the board in the 16th minute of the game with a goal from Tyler Logar, his second of the season. The Profs posted three shots on goal in the first half while the Roadrunners tallied two of their own.
Ramapo tied the game in the second half in the 86th minute as
Dan Boffa scored his fifth goal of the season off a header pass from
Andrew Kirshteyn. The ball to Kirshteyn came from sophomore
Cristian Trujillo. Neither team could score in the final four minutes of regulation sending the game into overtime.
Rowan was able to score the golden goal in the 96th minute for the 2-1 win.
Silas Wood scored the game winning goal off a pass into the box from Travis Ward.
In the game Rowan posted twenty shots, seven on goal along with four corner kicks. The Roadrunners tallied nine total shots with four on goal and three corner kicks.
Brady O'Connor posted five saves in the goal for the Roadrunners while Kevin Vasta recorded three for Rowan.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host NJAC rival Rutgers-Camden University on October 11th at 1pm.
