Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team fell today in a NJAC match-up against Rutgers-Camden University, 2-0. The Roadrunners now stand at 6-6-2 overall, 0-4-1 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors advance to 8-6 overall, 4-1 in the NJAC.
The first half remained scoreless while the Roadrunners held a 7-6 edge on shots. The Raptors posted four corner kicks to Ramapo's two.
Mike Ryan scored the game winning goal for the Scarlet Raptors off a header in the 54th minute (54:58), he was assisted by Connor Hurff. Hurff then netted his own goal off a pass from Grant Taylor in the 75th minute (75:07), extending their lead to, 2-0.
The Roadrunners recorded three more shots in the second half but could not find the back of the net. Rutgers-Camden held a 13-10 advantage in shots in the game and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
Brady O'Connor tallied five saves for Ramapo while Eric Bumbera posted two for the Raptors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 15 when they host New Jersey City University for a NJAC match-up at 3pm.
