MSU TAKES RAMAPO, 4-1 IN NJAC ACTION

Montclair, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's soccer team fell to NJAC rival, Montclair State University tonight on the road, 1-4.  With just one game left in the 2014 regular season, the Roadrunners stand at 8-8-2 overall, 1-6-1 in the conference.  Montclair gets their 11th straight win to improve to 15-3 overall, remaining undefeated in the conference at 8-0.

The Red Hawks got on the scoreboard first in the 35th minute with a goal from Kyle Goodwin, before he struck again at 53:22, scoring his 13th goal of the season, to give the Red Hawks a 2-0 lead.

Ramapo's senior Andrew Kirshteyn closed the gap at 67:59 off a dish from Lucas Tasci.  The goal was Kirshteyn's 6th of the season.  It wasn't enough as the Red Hawk's continued to put pressure on Ramapo, collecting two more goals in the final minutes of the game, to take home the 4-1 win.

Matthew Hernandez made 11 saves in goal for Ramapo, as the Red Hawks blasted 26 shots in the game.  Ramapo combined for 15 shots and MSU's Michael Gonzalez made 11 saves of his own on the day.

The Roadrunners take on Kean University at home on Wednesday, October 29th at 3pm, in their final regular season match-up of the season.
