Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team fell to Stevens Institute of Technology today, 2-1, at the Athletic Center.
The Ducks improve to 8-10 overall while the Roadrunners stand at 2-15 overall.
Rookie
Gianna Mouskourie scored her team leading 10th goal of the season for Ramapo in the 13th minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead.
Victoria Alvarez tied the game for Stevens in the 24th minute, 1-1, it was her team leading 14th goal of the season.
In the second half Stevens scored the eventual game winning goal when Jillian Fiebel took a pass from Dailyn Brook off a penalty corner in the 40th minute of play, 2-1.
The Roadrunners could not score to extend the game while rookie
Emily Wisneski recorded 21 saves, her highest total this season. Senior
Megan Minneci recorded one defensive save while junior
Kelsey Lawrence tallied two of her own.
For the Ducks, Emily Stukenborg posted nine saves in the win. Stevens led the Roadrunners in shots, 32-13 and in penalty corners, 16-5.
Ramapo returns to action in their final regular season game of the season on Tuesday, October 28th when they host #12 Montclair State University at 3:30pm.
