Jersey City, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team defeated NJAC rival New Jersey City University today on the road 2-1 in overtime. Rookie
Alexus Fuentes scored the game winner in the 95th minute for the Roadrunners.
The Roadrunners now stand at 4-7-2 overall, 2-4 in the NJAC while the Gothic Knights fall to 3-7-2 overall, 0-6 in the conference.
Fuentes scored the first goal of the game in the28th minute off a pass from junior
Kelsey Sutherland to put Ramapo in the lead, 1-0.
NJCU tied the game, 1-1, with a goal by Amanda Filippone in the 54th minute, she was assisted by Jubeth Buitrago. Despite out shooting NJCU, 15-2, in the second half the Roadrunners could find the back of the net until the over time period.
Fuentes came up big in the 95th minute, scoring her fourth goal of the season and second of the game for the game winning goal. Rookie
Gabriella DiLiberto assisted on the goal.
Ramapo posted a 31-3 shot advantage in the game and a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.

Jessica Cusick played all 94:31 minutes of the game for the Roadrunners and needed to make only one save. Brittany Hoffman posted 15 saves in the net for the Gothic Knights.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they host conference rival the College of New Jersey at 1pm.
