Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team fell today in a non-conference match-up against Neumann University, 2-1. The Roadrunners now stand at 2-12 overall while the Knights improve to 7-6.
With under seven minutes to play in the first half, Lindsey Spatola put a goal in the back of the net, giving the Knights the lead over the Roadrunners, 1-0. In the first half the Knights held a 9-2 advantage in shots over the Roadrunners. Roadrunner goalie

The Knights scored the eventual game winning goal in the 51st minute of the game when Marisa Antuzzi scored off of a rebound, 2-0. The Roadrunners cut the lead to onel when rookie
Gianna Mouskourie scored off a pass from
Christina Bacino in the 56th minute. The Roadrunners couldn't score to extend the game as Neumann came away with the victory.
The Knights held a 20-6 advantage in shots and a 14-6 advantage in penalty corners in the game. Roadrunner

Megan Minneci and
Lauren Santoro both picked up a defensive save for Ramapo. Summer Skilvas tallied five saves of her own in the game for the Knights.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 15th when they travel to William Paterson University for a NJAC match-up at 7pm.
