Newark, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team fell to Rutgers-Newark University, 3-2, in NJAC women's soccer action. The Scarlet Raiders improve to 6-4-1 overall, 1-2 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-5-2 overall, 1-2 in the NJAC.
The Scarlet Raiders got on the board just 5:43 into the game with a goal from Sara Corson, her seventh goal of the year. They would take the, 1-0, lead into the second half before Ramapo tied the game with a goal from rookie
Nani Vizcaino. Vizcaino scored her fourth goal of the season just 42 seconds into the second half.
In the 61st minute, Corson assisted a goal by Cristina Estremera, her fourth of the season to take a, 2-1, lead. The Roadrunners would tie the game in the 83rd minute as junior captain
Nicole Ninomiya was able to collect a pass from Vizcaino to tie the game at two. Rutgers-Newark would scored the eventual game winning goal just under two minutes later off a corner kick. Estremera pushed a header into the back of the net off Haley Savva's corner kick to take a 3-2 lead in the 85th minute. The Scarlet Raider defense would make sure the lead held in the final minutes for the victory.
Ramapo posted a 17-14 advantage in shots in the game while Rutgers-Newark held a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they host Rowan University at 1pm.
