Camden, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's tennis team defeated NJAC rival Rutgers-Camden University, 6-3, on the road. The Roadrunners improve to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference while the Scarlet Raptors fall to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the NJAC.

The Roadrunners picked up two points in doubles play when they won at first and second doubles. Carly Agrifolio and Stephanie Abrecht won at first doubles (8-6) while Sara Luby and Micala Demchak won at second doubles, 8-1.

In singles action, Agrifolio picked up at win at second singles, 6-0, 6-1, while Abrecht won 7-5, 6-1 at third singles. Demchak had the toughest match of the day with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 win at fourth singles before Katrina Biss won the final singles match for the Roadrunners at fifth singles, 6-1, 6-3.

The Roadrunners will return to the courts on September 10th when they travel to NJAC rival Rutgers-Newark University at 6:00pm.
