LADY ROADRUNNERS RANKED 9TH OVERALL IN USTFCCCA POLL

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's indoor track and field team has been ranked #9 overall in the USTFCCCA's NCAA Top DIII Week 3 National Poll, released today by the association office.

The poll, a computer projection, is based largely on the top returning student-athletes from teams across the country.

The Lady Roadrunners moved up 12 spots from last week's poll. NJAC rookie of the week, Emily Brock, placed 8th overall at the Princeton Invite this past weekend. She won the second heat in the 3000-meter race with a new school record and ECAC qualifying time of 10:39.84. NJAC field athlete of the week, Anita Rogers, took home a fourth place finish in the long jump at the Princeton Invite. She posted a mark of 5.55-meters (18' 2.5") while she placed second overall in the triple jump with a mark of 11.83-meters (38' 9.75"). At the NYU Fastrack Invite, Rogers won the triple jump with a mark of 12.01-meters, also an ECAC qualifier. She also took home a second place finish and ECAC qualifying mark in the long jump in 5.72-meters. Her marks in the triple jump and long jump are ranked third overall in NCAA DIII this season. In the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash, she posted an ECAC qualifying time of 8:04.
