Box Score Pittsford, NY: The Ramapo College women's basketball team held on for a 60-59 road win over John Jay College at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Invitational hosted by Saint John Fisher College.
The Roadrunners improve to 3-4 overall while John Jay now stands at 2-3 overall. Senior
Alayna Donadio made one of two foul shots with five seconds remaining in the game to propel the Roadrunners to victory. Donadio finished with 13 points, three steals and two assists. Senior
Micaela Moore led the team with a double-double, 21 points and ten rebounds along with four blocks and four steals. Rookie
Doris Ilic added eight points and four rebounds. The Roadrunners shot 37% (21-56) from the field, 30% (4-13) from beyond the three-point line and 66% (14-21) from the foul line. The Roadrunner defense forced 23 John Jay turnovers in the game.
John Jay had three different players score in double figures as starters Tyana Hale and Terri Chu each scored 11 points while Josphine Diaz led the team with 14 points off the bench. Jamecia Forsythe collected a team high 11 rebounds while Amanda Jimenez tallied seven rebounds and two points. John Jay shot 40% (20-50) from the field, 45% (9-20) from beyond the three point line and 83% (10-12) from the foul line in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday when they host NJAC rival Rutgers-Camden University at 5:30pm.
