Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team posted a 2-1 win over Manhattanville College today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 4-6 overall while the Valiants fall to 3-7.
Katie Popowych scored her third goal of the season to put the Roadrunners on the board in the 5th minute of the game, 1-0. Early in the second half,
Liz Samimi scored her first goal of the year, the eventual game winning goal with 47:26 on the clock.
Christine DeMarco would score for the Valiants in the 60th minute of the game (59:12) to cut the Roadrunner lead in half, 2-1. The Ramapo defense held the Valiants for the remainder of the game as they came away with the victory.
Ramapo held a 18-3 advantage in shots in the game and a 5-1 lead in corner kicks.
Talia Auslin did not have to make a save in the game for the Roadrunners.
Ramapo returns to action in the on Saturday, October 5th when they host NJAC rival Kean University at 1pm.
