Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team improved to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC tonight as they defeated Rutgers-Camden University, 6-3.
The Roadrunners earned two points in doubles action when they won at the second and third spots. Sara Lubby and
Ivy Schuckman defeated Avery Forte and Jordan Crawley at second doubles, 8-2. At third doubles,
Micala Demchak and
Katrina Biss teamed up to defeat Kelly Bates and Katy Read, 8-5.
Ramapo won matches 2-5 in singles play. Lubby won at second singles, 7-5 and 6-2 while
Stephanie Abrecht defeated Forte, 6-4, 6-4. Biss won at fourth singles over Crawley, 6-1 and 6-1 while Demchak defeated Bates at fifth singles, 6-4, 6-4.
The Roadrunners will return to action on September 14th when they host Rutgers-Newark University at 4:00 pm.
