Lisa Orlando lifted the Ramapo College softball team to a 3-2 victory over Stevens Institute of Technology today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 25-10 while the Ducks fall to 12-19 overall.
Orlando collected all three RBI in the game today for Ramapo. She cracked her sixth home run of the season in the fourth inning following a single from rookie
Taylor Boffalo to take a 2-0 lead.
In the fifth inning Stevens got on the board with an unearned run before they tied the game in the sixth inning. Clair Strom led off the inning with a double before she came around to score on a misplayed ball in the infield to tie the game, 2-2.
The Roadrunners would load the bases in the seventh inning before Orlando laced a single to left field to plate rookie
Jaclyn Lima with the game winning run. Lima was hit by a pitch earlier in the inning before she stole second with one out. Following the second out, senior
Danielle Rothenberger was hit by a pitch and both runners moved up on a pass ball before Boffalo walked to load the bases for Orlando's game winning heroics.
Sophomore
Harley Masiello (3-2) earned the win on the mound for Ramapo as she fired a complete game six hitter with five strikeouts and two walks.
Orlando finished the game going 3-4 at the plate with three RBI while Lima, Rothenberger, Boffalo and
Krystal Kmiechick each collected a hit.
Kayla Berardi (4-12) struck out 12 in the loss while only walking one for Stevens.

Ramapo returns to action in their final NJAC double header of the season as they travel to the College of New Jersey on Saturday for a 1pm start.
