Union, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team improved to 6-3 overall, 4-2 in the NJAC with a 5-1 win over NJAC rival Kean University (6-5, 1-4 NJAC).
The match was called for darkness before the completion of third, fifth and sixth singles.
Sara Luby and
Micala Demchak won at second doubles, 8-5 while
Stephanie Abrecht and
Ivy Schuckman won at third doubles, 8-2. In singles action,
Hayley Downing picked up at 6-3, 6-4 win at first singles while Luby won at second singles, 6-2, 6-3.
Katrina Biss won at fourth singles, 6-3 and 6-2 before play was called due to darkness.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 13th when they travel to non-conference foe Bard College for a 1pm game.
