Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Stockton College women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College today, 2-0 at the Athletic Center. The Ospreys improve to 8-5-2, 4-3 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference while the Roadrunners fall to 3-8-2, 1-4 in the conference.
The Ospreys got on the board with a goal by Briana Fischer to take a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute of the game. Ramapo held a 5-4 shot advantage in the first half and a 3-0 advantage in corners.
Stockton leading scorer, Jessica Balnis tallied her sixth goal of the year in the 59th minute to extend the lead, 2-0. Stockton out shot Ramapo in the second half 16-10 while the Roadrunners held a slight lead in corners, 3-2.
Sarah Hinkle posted four saves for the Ospreys while
Talia Auslin had five for Ramapo.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Mount Saint Mary College on October 19th at 7:00 pm.
