Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team fell to the Profs from Rowan University today, 145-117. The Roadrunners fall to 3-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference while the Profs improve to 5-1 and 2-0 in the conference.
Ramapo got off to a great start when they won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:40.86. The team was made up of Steve Fox, Rich Maier,
Alex DeVries and
Mike Waterhouse.
Geoff Richter placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle as he clocked in at 10:54.83 while Steve Fox took home a first place finish in the 100-yard backstroke in 54.73.
Andrew English placed third in the same event in 57.90 while
Kyle Plucinsky (1:04.31),
David Nehls (1:04.71) and Maier (1:05.14) placed 2-3-4 in the 100-yard breaststroke. DeVries won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:04.63 while Waterhouse came in second place in 2:14.03.
In the 50-yard freestyle, Steve Fox placed second as he clocked in at 23.02 while Levi Fouvour placed fourth in 23.82. Fox also placed second in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:02.19 while Nehls placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:23.51. DeVries captured a first place finish in the 100-yard butterfly in 54.99 while English placed first in the 200-yard IM in 2:04.82.
The Roadrunners return to action on January 22nd when they host Post University at 2:00 PM.
