Union, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 NJAC victory today over the Cougars of Kean University. 
The Roadrunners improve to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the conference while the Cougars now stand at 5-2 overall and 0-2 in the NJAC.
Laura Strandberg (East Brunswick, NJ) won a 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 match at first singles while J
Jywel Almirante (Newton, NJ) won 6-4, 6-0 at second singles. 
Nicole Pitts (Pompton Lakes, NJ) won her match at third singles, 6-2, 6-2 while 
Hayley Downing (Cliffside Park, NJ) and 
Stephanie Abrecht (Manasquan, NJ) won at fifth (6-1, 6-0) and sixth singles (6-2, 6-3) respectively. 
The Roadrunners won two team points in doubles play as Almirante and 
Erin Gerhard (Cape May, NJ) defeated Lauren Petrucelli and Jaelynn Lee, 9-7 and Downing and Abrecht defeated Miriam Penafiel and Jessica Oquendo, 8-2. 
The Roadrunners return to action on Monday when they host NJAC foe William Paterson University at 4:00 PM.
