Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team posted a 9-0 shutout victory over John Jay College today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners even their record to 1-1 on the year while the Bloodhounds now stand at 1-3.
Ramapo took the first three singles matches in straight sets,  6-0, 6-0. Sophomore 
Laura Strandberg, senior 
Jywel Almirante and junior 
Nicole Pitts picked up wins at first, second and third singles respectively. 
Brittany Pitts came away with a 6-1, 6-0 win at fourth singles before rookie 
Hayley Downing and sophomore 
Stephanie Abrecht came away with 6-0, 6-0 wins at fifth and sixth singles. 
Strandberg and B. Pitts defeated Ashley Marrero and Katherine Halam, 8-1 at first doubles. Almirante and senior captain 
Erin Gerhard teamed up at second doubles to pick up an 8-0 victory before Abrecht and Downing won the final doubles match, 8-0.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to NJAC rival The College of New Jersey on September 15th at 3:30 PM.
