Deanna Giordano (Clifton, NJ) struck out ten and walked none as the #1 Ramapo College softball team posted a 3-0 shutout victory over #8 SUNY Old Westbury College. The Roadrunners (28-15) advance in the 2010 ECAC Metro Softball Championships while the Panthers end their season at 20-19.

The Roadrunners tacked on one more run in the bottom of the fourth inning when sophomore
Danielle Rothenberger (Livingston, NJ) singled to center field and scored on a RBI double to left field by rookie
Ashley Schirripa (Staten Island, NY). Giordano held the Panthers to three hits in the team's 12th shutout of the season.

The Roadrunners now face off against NJAC foe, #5 Rutgers-Camden University as they advanced with a win over #4 College of Staten Island, 6-1.
Game one, featuring Ramapo and the Scarlet Raptors will be played at 11:00 AM on Saturday followed by game two, #2 Stockton against #3 Farmingdale State at 1:00 PM. The loser's of games one and two meet at 3:00 PM in game three, an elimination game. The two winners meet at 5:00 PM in game four of the day.
