Purchase, NY: The Ramapo College women's soccer team snapped a five game losing skid with a 1-0 shutout victory over Manhattanville College on the road. The Roadrunners improve to 4-8 overall while the Valiants stand at 0-10-1 overall.

Senior captain Melissa Demko (East Brunswick, NJ) scored the game winner for Ramapo when she took a pass from senior Melanie Pupo (Newton, NJ) and beat the defender to pick up her fifth goal of the season at 52:02 into the game.

The Roadrunners posted five shots in the game to the Valiants nine; the Valiants also had a 7-4 edge in corner kicks in the game. Junior Alyssa Krall (Toms River, NJ) recorded four saves in the shutout, her second shutout of the year.

Demko recorded three shots, two on goal while senior captain Kimberly Bruno (Middletown, NJ) ripped one shot on goal.

The Roadrunners return to action when they host Lancaster Bible College on October 11th at 4:00 PM.
