(Pomona, NJ) – Richard Stockton (8-9, 3-4 NJAC) got a much-needed win over Ramapo (7-11, 1-6) 74-57 on Saturday afternoon behind a career-high 23 points from Che`Na Thompson (Salem/Salem) and a career-high-tying 20 points from Aliyah Nelson (Pleasantville/St. Joseph-Hammonton). The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Ospreys.

Meghan Reilly (Morganville/Marlboro) led the Roadrunners with 18 points while teammate junior
Danielle Beam (Middletown/Middletown North) chipped in with 11. Stockton's defense forced 25 turnovers in the game and held Ramapo to just 25 points in the second stanza.
Ramapo led 32-26 at the half as Reilly and Thompson led their teams with 11 points apiece. Nelson sparked the Ospreys with 18-second half points to lead the Stockton rally. Nelson hit two free throws with 5:05 remaining that snapped the ninth tie of the game and gave Stockton a 55-53 lead that it would not relinquish. Thompson later sealed the win by hitting six straight foul shots at the end. The Ospreys went 30-36 (83.3%) at the line in the game and won 74-57.
Stockton will travel to the College of New Jersey on Wednesday evening for a 6 pm tip-off. Ramapo will take on Rutgers-Newark in Newark on Wednesday at 5:30 pm
