Pleasantville, NY: The Ramapo College men's swim team picked up two wins in a tri-meet today hosted by Pace University. The Roadrunners downed the Pacesetters, 89-29 and defeated the University of Bridgeport, 78-38. The Roadrunners improve to 5-2 overall.
Johnny Olsson (Stockholm, Sweden) took home a first place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:27.41 while
Geoff Richter (Cherry Hill, NJ) placed third in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.39.
Stephen Fox (Freehold Twp., NJ)placed second overall in the 100-yard backstroke in 54.90 while
Robert Stein (Sloatsburg, NY) clocked in at 1:03.99 in the 100-yard breaststroke for second place.
Andrew English (Lincoln Park, NJ) placed second in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:16.00 while
Nikolas Ablan (Hazlet, NJ) finished in third place in 2:23.31.
Peter Polgar (Wayne, NJ) took home a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.99 while
Terry Hubert (Howell, NJ) placed third overall in 23.29.
Fox also placed second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:02.82 while
Alex Krueger (East Brunswick, NJ) placed thid in 2:16.99. The Roadrunners also took home first and second place in the 200-yard breaststroke when Stein placed first in 2:23.33 and
David Nehls (Oakland, NJ) placed second in 2:27.96. Richter took home a first place finish in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:07.84 while Fox placed first in the 100-yard butterfly in 56.70.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host King's College at 6:00 PM.
