Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team opened up the 2009-2010 season with a victory over the Bloodhounds of John Jay College. The Roadrunners shutout the Bloodhounds 9-0 in their first win of the year.

Laura Strandberg (East Brunswick, NJ) defeated Ashley Marrero, 6-2, 6-1 at first singles before junior
Kristine Austria (Jersey City, NJ) took home the win at second singles over Seidron Snipe. Ramapo swept third through fifth singles play before senior
Alison Tukel (Morris Plains, NJ) recorded a win by default at sixth singles.
Tukel and Almirante swept the first doubles team of Marrero and Seidron, 8-0 before sophomore
Nicole Pitts (Pompton Plains, NJ) and junior
Erin Gerhard (Cape May, NJ) took home an 8-0 victory over Wilesca Belhomme and Jessica Rodriguez.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they travel to Bethlehem, PA to take part in the Lehigh Tournament starting at 9:00 AM.
