Kissimmee, FL: The Ramapo College softball team defeated St. Norbert College (0-2), 2-0 in eight innings before coming from behind in the bottom of the seventh to beat Millikin (1-6), 3-2. Ramapo now stands at 6-0 on the season.

With the scored tied at 0-0 after seven innings of play, Ramapo and St. Norbert would use the international tie-breaker rule. Roookie Tiffany Fischer's hard hit ball went past the shortstop allowed sophomore Rachel Wong (Livingston, NJ) to score from third base, she moved up from second on a ground out by junior Jen Vitorino (Old Bridge, NJ). Ramapo would tack on a insurance run when a ball hit by junior Jamie Chalkley (West Milford, NJ) to deep center field was misplayed allowing Fischer to score to put the Roadrunners up 2-0.

The defense and sophomore pitcher Deanna Giordano (Clifton, NJ) would close out the game in the bottom of the eighth inning, Giordano pitched a complete game shutout, striking out six with no walks and only allowing four hits.

In game two against Millikin University, the Roadrunners got on the board in the bottom of the third inning. With two outs and runner's on first and second senior Kelly Schriber (Montclair, NJ) ripped a single to left field to drive home sophomore Brittany McKeon (Toms River, NJ) who reached ona single to right center earlier in the inning.

In the top of the sixth inning Millikin had runners on second and third with one out before Whitney Shafman hit a bunt single to score pinch runner Jess Oller to tie the game at one all. They took the lead when Morgan Perkins grounded out to first base scoring pinch runner Nicole Boskamp.

Ramapo would win the game in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 3-2 victory. Fischer singled to lead off the inning and Malgeri's hit to second was misplayed to allow Fischer advance to third base. Rookie Brittany Morgan (Colonia, NJ) hit into a fielder's choice to third base while the third baseman tried to get fischer out on the play. The bases were loaded for senior Katie Donnelly (North Haledon, NJ) as she singled to left field to pick up the RBI and plate the tying run. Ramapo would win the game on senior Marliee Farmer's (Toms River, NJ) single to shortstop that scored pinch runner Laura Herget (Paramus, NJ).

Winning pitcher Lyndsay Buehler(River Vale, NJ) recorded 12 strikeouts in the game, giving up only three hits and two runs, one earned with two walks.

McKeon was 2-4 in the game with one run scored while Fischer was 1-3 with one run scored and Wong was 1-1 with two walks.

Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, March 18th when they take on Hope at 9:00 AM and Fontbonne at 11:00 AM.
